FITUR 2025 has strengthened Tunisia's international visibility and boosted its opportunities for collaboration with key operators. Leila Tekaia, director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office for Spain and Portugal, says our participation at the trade fair had a very positive outcome. "This show has been a strategic platform to strengthen the visibility of our destination, not only in the Iberian markets, but also internationally". B2B meetings "have allowed us to establish new opportunities for collaboration with key operators", while interaction with the general public "has reinforced our commitment to offer authentic and diversified experiences".

"The participation has exceeded our expectations, both in terms of professional contacts and in the promotion of our tourism offer", says Leila Tekaia. "FITUR is not only a global showcase, but a meeting point where tourism dreams find real opportunities".

The director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office for Spain and Portugal explains that during the trade fair "we had approximately 30 B2B meetings with key players in the international tourism industry, including tour operators, distribution networks, airlines, media and opinion leaders". These meetings focused "on strengthening strategic partnerships, exploring new market opportunities and promoting the diversification of our tourism offer".

A notable result was "the specific interest in developing integrated circuits combining the cultural and natural wealth of our country with values aligned with sustainable development". In addition, "the foundations were laid for a joint training programme with international travel agencies, reinforcing our positioning in emerging markets". According to Tekaia, "each meeting at FITUR is not only an exchange, but a step towards a future of cooperation and shared growth".

Cultural, sports and sustainable tourism

Approximately 500 trade visitors and 1,000 members of the general public visited the Tunisian stand during the days of FITUR. “The trade visitors were mainly interested in our customised offers in cultural, sports and sustainable tourism, as well as opportunities for collaboration on specific programmes such as golf, family tourism and combined packages.” For their part, the general public showed “particular interest in the unique Tunisian experiences, such as desert visits, historical tours and our wellness offer”.

Among the noteworthy visits to the stand included, “representatives from major international tourism groups and opinion leaders, who gave us the opportunity to discuss joint development projects". Moreover, "the exchange with specialised media and key players further strengthened our presence in strategic markets".
