Mauritania is expecting to see an increase in visitors to the country following its participation in the last edition of FITUR, which it describes as "a huge success". The stand of the Mauritania National Tourist Office was well attended by tour operators and travel agencies, who travelled to Madrid to be part of the country's delegation. According to María Nuño de la Rosa from the ONTM's communications agency, around 10,000 professionals and visitors were interested in the attractions of this destination, among them several ministers from other nations.

For the Mauritania National Tourist Office, FITUR 2025 was "a huge success", according to María Nuño de la Rosa from the communication agency of the Mauritanian National Tourist Office. Internally, "Mauritania's stand was well attended by tour operators and travel agencies, who travelled to Madrid to form part of the country's delegation". On the other hand, "we organised a varied and interesting institutional agenda, with many business opportunities". And finally, "we attracted a great deal of interest from the general public, which we hope will translate into visits by travellers to the country".

Around 30 institutional meetings were held at the Mauritania stand, in addition to the numerous meetings held by operators. In addition, as a result of these contacts, a number of agreements with investors, tour operators and airlines materialised.

According to Nuño de la Rosa, around 10,000 professional visitors and members of the general public visited the Mauritania stand during the trade fair, as well as several ministers from other countries.
