The opening of the 2nd FITUR 4all Awards has been announced, which will recognise the efforts of destinations, companies and institutions in the development of inclusive tourism.

The deadline for submitting applications is 1 November 2024 and the awards will be presented at FITUR 2025.

The International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR, in collaboration with IMPULSA IGUALDAD, announces the second edition of the FITUR 4all section, an initiative that was launched last year to bring all people with accessibility needs closer to tourism destinations and services. With the aim of promoting accessible and inclusive tourism, the joint commitment in 2025 goes one step further and announces the creation of the 'Guide to Best Accessibility Practices in Tourism by Fitur4all'.

This Guide will highlight accessible projects that have been implemented in 2023 and 2024 and that stand out for their positive impact, potential and replicability with the aim of meeting the need to bring tourism closer to all people, fostering a more inclusive sector that is aware of the diversity of travellers and showing an updated view of the latest trends and best practices in accessibility.

2nd FITUR 4all Awards: the application period is open until 1 November

Following the success of its first edition, the 2nd Fitur 4all Awards are being held for national and international destinations, companies and institutions to present their accessibility projects until 1 November, on which the 'Guide to Best Accessibility Practices in Tourism by Fitur 4all' will be based.

The Fitur 4all 2025 Awards will be presented in four categories: Inclusive National Destination, Inclusive International Destination, Inclusive Tourism Company and Inclusive Organisation or Institution. In all of them, an assessment will be made on the innovation in the design and implementation of the project, its potential, its positive impact, and the consistency and sustainability of the measures adopted. In the case of the last category, the criterion of sectoral and social awareness-raising also stands out as a driving, exemplary and/or educational action regarding inclusion.

The jury will be made up of experts in tourism, accessibility and inclusion and will announce its decision before the start of the 45th edition of FITUR. The winners will receive a diploma and a trophy that will be awarded at FITUR 2025, which runs from 22 to 26 January at IFEMA MADRID. In addition, they will receive a seal that can be used in physical and digital media.

The 2nd Fitur 4all Awards and the development of the 'Guide to Best Accessibility Practices in Tourism' will be complemented by the specialised conferences taking place during FITUR 2025 with experts in accessible tourism who will address the challenges facing the sector and highlight the benefits and opportunities of making tourism inclusive for all travellers.

In short, the announcement of the awards and the preparation of the Guide were born out of the commitment to encourage the development of accessible initiatives and the mission to strengthen the quality, diversity and inclusion of the tourism offer.
