Catalonia will be attending FITUR as a reference for food and wine tourism
Catalonia will be taking part in FITUR 2025, the International Tourism Trade Fair being held at IFEMA MADRID from 22 to 26 January, as a leading destination for food and wine tourism. In addition, its stand at the fair will have a renewed commitment to family tourism, and a great cultural offering thanks mainly to two special celebrations: the 50th anniversary of Fundació Joan Miró and the Millennium of the founding of the monastery of Montserrat. All of this will be complemented by the proposals of its different tourism brands.
The Catalan Tourist Board reminds us that in 2025 Catalonia is to receive the honour of becoming as a World Region of Gastronomy. "This distinction will allow us to position our destination as a world reference for food and wine tourism and, in this sense, the Catalan stand (7B10 and 7B13) will have a strong gastronomic accent."
Catalonia's renewed commitment to family tourism will also play an important role at the fair, as well as cultural tourism, thanks mainly to two special celebrations: the 50th anniversary of Fundació Joan Miró and the Millennium of the founding of the monastery of Montserrat.
The Catalan Tourist Board officials add that "naturally there will be no shortage of all the proposals from the different tourism brands that make up Catatonia's offer: Costa Brava, Costa Barcelona, Costa Daurada, Terres de l’Ebre, Barcelona, Terres de Lleida, Paisajes Barcelona, Val d’Aran and Pirineus.”
In addition to having their photo taken at the PortAventura photocall to mark its 30th anniversary, over the weekend visitors will have the chance to follow the routes of the Grand Tour of Catalonia through a virtual reality experience and see the F1 car on display at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
