The Balearic Islands position their cultural and sports tourism offer
The Balearic Islands are attending FITUR 2024 with the aim of positioning their cultural and sports tourism offer, as well as boosting low season demand. The four islands, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, as well as different town councils and co-exhibitors from private companies in the tourism sector, will be present on an accessible and sustainable stand.
The Balearic Islands stand will be inspired by the Mediterranean and surrounded by Posidonia, a unique marine plant that is synonymous with sustainability, commitment and beauty. Among the presentations to be held there on 24 January (12 noon) are "New tourism strategies: the trinomial Tourism, Culture and Sports", given by the President of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, and the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzá; and on 25 January (11am) "New developments for tourism in 2024", with the island councils of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. There will also be wine and olive oil tasting sessions (prior booking required).
Over the weekend, there will be ceramic painting workshops for children themed around the marine life of the Balearic Islands.
