The FiturNext Observatory previews the agenda for the fourth edition dedicated to how tourism can contribute to the revitalisation of territories. From 24 to 27 January, within the framework of FITUR, FiturNext is organising a series of presentations, round tables and talks with experts from the sector focusing on how to alleviate depopulation. Get to know the first confirmed participants of the 2024 programme
Francesc Boya Alós, Secretary General for the Demographic Challenge, Blanca Pérez-Sauquillo, Deputy Director General for Marketing at Turespaña, Ana Abade, Public Affairs Manager Spain & Portugal at Booking.com, Jesús Alique, Commissioner for the Demographic Challenge of Castilla - La Mancha, and Enrique Martínez Martín, President of Segittur, are the speakers confirmed so far to participate in the agenda organised by FiturNext.
Their trajectories are long and range from political careers with a focus on ecological transition and the contribution to tackling depopulation to generate access to opportunities, to international tourism cooperation, commitment to innovation in tourism destinations and the implementation of Big Data and tourism intelligence.
Awards ceremony for the winning initiatives
The FiturNext 2024 edition will kick off on 24 January with the highlight of the edition: the presentation of awards to the winning projects of the 2024 Challenge for their contribution to alleviating depopulation together with the winning initiatives: Genalguacil (Museum Town), Recartografías and Camino del Cid. In addition, the finalists will also participate throughout the programme in presentations and dialogues sharing their experiences.
