The materials sector plays a role in the decarbonisation of C&R systems.
The installation materials sector is engaged in a significant effort to provide the market with solutions that facilitate the decarbonisation of cooling and heating systems, including domestic hot water, as elucidated by the heads of AMASCAL in a recent report. Additionally, the report indicates that distribution exhibited an average growth of 7.66% in 2023 in comparison to 2022.
AMASCAL, the Association of Sanitation, Heating, Plumbing and Gas Wholesalers, air conditioning and related sectors, asserts in its report that “European funds have been instrumental in facilitating the significant growth of materials utilising clean and renewable energy resources”. They further note that, “the entire sector of materials for installations is making a significant effort to provide the market with solutions that facilitate the decarbonisation of cooling and heating systems, with particular attention to domestic hot water, which is closely linked to the systems.”
Furthermore, to achieve the sector’s vision across the entire value chain, AMASCAL has collaborated with its partners, who have provided the quarterly variation percentage throughout 2023. The data indicates that the average growth in distribution was 7.66% in comparison to 2022.
Expectations for 2024
It is anticipated that in 2024, interest rates will decline as anticipated, and that the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) will facilitate the conditions for undertaking renovation and refurbishment. The association notes that “the various plans devised by the administration for building decarbonisation will undoubtedly facilitate the recovery of growth figures.”
