Jana María García Gascó (CONAIF): "AI makes it possible to increase energy efficiency and control consumption"
Ana María García Gascó, director general of CONAIF, the Spanish National Confederation of Associations of Energy and Fluids Installation and Maintenance Companies, states in the following interview that thanks to artificial intelligence, installers can predict user behaviour, make decisions to increase energy efficiency and promote greater control of consumption.
What applications can artificial intelligence have in air conditioning and refrigeration systems?
It is useful in the analysis and prediction of user behaviour in the use of facilities. Allows remote control to adjust temperature, air flow or humidity, among other parameters. Also the scheduling of preventive maintenance or the prediction of possible failures before they occur, as well as environmental conditions and energy demand.
What are its advantages and potential?
By using artificial intelligence, installers can predict user behaviour and make decisions when proposing solutions that increase the energy efficiency of installations and favour greater control of consumption. In terms of equipment and facility maintenance, it allows situations to be anticipated, predictive maintenance to be carried out and efficiency to be improved.
What challenges does AI pose for installation companies?
The main challenge for installation companies is to adapt to these advanced systems, gain knowledge of their advantages and useful features, and become able to use them to create healthier and more sustainable environments.
