Ecoforest launched Ecoforest Geothermal in 2012, following its extensive experience manufacturing boilers and pellet stoves. The division was born as a spin off from the University of Vigo and since its integration into Ecoforest, it has become the biggest company in the group. Ecoforest currently employs over 200 staff.
Ecoforest operates in over 50 countries. Its headquarters has a 13,500m2 production plant with its own R&D&i department and a new plant will soon enhance the company’s production and storage capacities. Eladio Pérez, CEO of Ecoforest, said that the company owed its progress to “unity, passion, innovative spirit and its team”. Iago Bastos, Head of Heat Pump Business Development, says that these “positive results will pave the way towards improving tools, systems and processes that will help increase the company’s production capacity year after year”.
Inverter technology
Ecoforest's teams have been reinforced by Inverter technology, which offers greater modulation capacity. Heat Temperature Recovery (HTR) allows teams to offer multiple services at the same time with geothermal heat pumps. Ecoforest’s R&D department led the drive for innovation with the R290 natural coolant (propane) by developing ecoAIR+ PRO, a full range of air-water heat pumps. The ecoGEO+ 1-6 PRO was the first water-water heat pump with R290 natural coolant (propane).
The versatility of Ecoforest’s teams lies on their wide range of skills and their ability to offer heating, cooling, domestic hot water (DHW) and pool management services. Ecoforest has its own technical office where it offers advice tailored to the needs of each installation.
