The key role of distribution in the decarbonisation process
Distribution professionals in the air conditioning and refrigeration sector play a key role in the decarbonisation process, as they carry out research and collect the necessary information to plan and also facilitate promotion, contact, adaptation, negotiation and financing.
Professionals in the distribution channel are a very important link in the process of marketing a product "as they constitute the mechanism by which distribution, as an economic function, takes shape and adapts to the needs and characteristics of each economic sector, from the manufacturer to the industrial user or end consumer", states Arcadio García Lastra, secretary of the Technical Committee of Atecyr, the Spanish Technical Association for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
These professionals facilitate the circulation of commercial products to the end user, and to this end they carry out "research work, compiling the necessary information to plan and facilitate the entire process, promotion, contact, adaptation, negotiation, distribution and financing".
Jorge Molina Torres, technical secretary of Atecyr, explains that, from the point of view of this association, the aforementioned research work is of utmost importance for the decarbonisation process we are currently undergoing. "On the one hand, they have first-hand information on the needs and limitations of the market; and, on the other, they have the technological information the manufacturer has developed at their disposal". Combining the two is "a decisive task when it comes to proposing the best possible solutions for the countless cases that may arise when designing, prescribing, installing and maintaining a thermal installation that meets the objectives of safety, health, efficiency and sustainability".
Therefore, in his opinion, "the training of professionals in the distribution channel is essential for the proper performance of their tasks, a factor for which Atecyr has made and continues to make a definitive commitment".
Advising the user
Companies in the sector also highlight the importance of distribution professionals. Patricia Lairón Moreno, director of Dantherm Valencia, says that "the training of the professionals who make up the distribution channel in the climate control sector is essential in order to provide the right solution to the users and customers who require it". In her opinion, "this training provides knowledge and experience that makes it possible to provide users with the best solutions based on their needs, making the correct product selection, correct sizing and offering adequate technical support and after-sales service if necessary".
