Daikin to present the Daikin Altherma 4 and the VRV 5 heat pump with R-32 at C&R 23.
Daikin is to present the latest innovations from its various ranges of products, services and training at C&R 2023, which will be held from 14 to 17 November. The company will showcase two of its star products, the Daikin Altherma 4 and the VRV 5 heat pump with R-32.

The Daikin Altherma 4 range is the evolution of the Daikin Altherma 3, the previous generation which already turned the heat pump market on its head. “The new generation of water-air heat pumps sets European industry on a new path, with the main aim of decarbonising heat efficiently, safely and comfortably,” the company notes.
The machine components in this new range have been redesigned to improve performance and ease of use, while protecting each stage of the product's life cycle. “Daikin Altherma 4 is ‘smart’, as it has a new touchscreen to allow both remote control and troubleshooting. It is also compatible with home automation and home energy management systems. The new made-to-measure components, along with a comprehensive training programme, bring efficiency, safety and peace of mind to the market throughout the product’s life cycle: transport, storage, installation, maintenance and recycling”.
VRV 5 heat pump with R-32
With its sights set on sustainability and energy efficiency, Daikin has updated the series of VRV-4 systems to the VRV-5 version with the main new feature being the use of R-32 refrigerant, thus achieving a global warming potential (GWP) of just 675.
DAIKIN’s VRV-5 range with R32 retains the ease of installation of all the other VRVs to date. This is achieved with a complex inbuilt leak detection system: indoor units are fitted as standard with a leak sensor which, together with the 65 dBA visual and audio signalling of the controls and the shut-off valves that are inserted in the pipework, meets any restrictions of the current A2L refrigerant regulations for small spaces up to 7 m2.
