Atecyr highlights the role of thermal installations in decarbonisation
Atecyr will highlight the challenge of decarbonisation through the renovation of thermal installations in existing buildings at its 17th Annual Meeting, to be held this June. The association will discuss the importance of speeding up the energy transition and the role of technicians as key players in reducing emissions in the short term, by 2030.
The Spanish Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Technical Association (Atecyr) will highlight the challenge of decarbonisation through the renovation of thermal installations in existing buildings, at its 17th Annual Meeting scheduled for 16 June in Santiago de Compostela, coinciding with the General Shareholders' Meeting.
The purpose of this meeting is to deal with one of the most innovative issues that will have the greatest influence on the sector and affect the activity of technicians. "We are facing one of the most profound changes of recent times: the great challenge of decarbonising the thermal installations of existing buildings", according to the association.
With this annual meeting, ATECYR aims to discuss "the importance of speeding up the energy transition and the role of technicians, as key players, in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the short term, by 2030".
The meeting will be attended by, among other managers and experts, Jacobo Llerena, Deputy Director General for Energy Efficiency of the Ministry for Energy Transition and the Demographic Challenge of MITECO; Pau Garcia, Policy Officer of the Directorate General for Energy Efficiency of the European Commission; Livio Mazzarella, Vice President of REHVA and Professor of the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano; Rafael Vázquez, President of Atecyr; and Ricardo García, Vice Chairman of the Technical Committee of the association itself.
