Armacell, a company that took part in the latest edition of the C&R fair, organised by IFEMA MADRID, has announced a further sustainability achievement with the installation of photovoltaic panels at its Spanish plant in Begur. This measure underlines the company's commitment to sustainability, reflected both in its energy-efficient products and production processes.

Armacell, a world leader in flexible foams for the installations insulation market and supplier of technical foams, has announced a further sustainability achievement with the installation of photovoltaic panels at its plant in Begur, Spain. This measure underlines the company's commitment to sustainability, reflected both in its energy-efficient products and production processes.

The photovoltaic panels, installed at the Begur plant, now cover 20% of local energy needs, significantly cutting CO2 emissions. The installation, which was completed in December 2023, has a total capacity of 505 kWp and an estimated PV production of 650 MWh per year, resulting in a reduction of CO2 emissions of around 300 tonnes per year. This initiative is aligned with Armacell's vision and efforts for sustainability, addressing climate change, minimising energy consumption and mitigating carbon emissions.

Energy Efficiency

According to the company, Armacell is committed to leading by example in the transition to a more sustainable future. "The company's products are designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions. Armacell's elastomeric foams for installations insulation not only help to conserve energy in buildings and industrial systems, but they also help to reduce the environmental impact".

With this new photovoltaic installation, Armacell is reasserting its commitment to sustainable practices and the fight against climate change. "The company continues to innovate and improve its processes to ensure that its operations and products not only meet, but also go beyond global environmental standards".
