Airzone, which specialises in the development and manufacture of air conditioning equipment control systems, has launched the Quality Air Zone label, which identifies indoor spaces that incorporate air quality solutions from the company's AirQ range. This label identifies areas of buildings with high indoor air quality, free of harmful airborne particles and therefore less likely to cause allergies or the transmission of viruses present in some polluted areas. Airzone participated in the latest edition of the C&R fair, held at IFEMA MADRID.

The aim of the Quality Air Zone label is to increase the safety and well-being of people living in and sharing offices or commercial premises. Like all the other solutions designed and produced by the company, the label has been subjected to numerous laboratory tests that confirm its effectiveness.

This certification is a continuation of the range of air quality focused products launched by the company. With this range, it is possible to analyse the state of indoor air quality and, when necessary, purify it through ionisation, the safest and most reliable air purification technology. The label will be visible in shops, restaurants, clinics and offices, as well as on air-conditioning units in residential premises that incorporate this process.

Raising public awareness

The population has become more aware of how poor ventilation can be a breeding ground for germs and a risk factor for potential diseases or allergies. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), poor air quality can cause health problems for citizens in the short term, causing problems such as eye irritation, dizziness or fatigue; and in the long term, causing heart or respiratory diseases, among other ailments.

Spaces in residential and tertiary sectors require air purification devices with some form of certification to ensure that indoor air quality is free of impurities. Airzone is responding to this growing demand with the creation of this label, which ensures optimum air quality, promoting the well-being and comfort of consumers.

Innovation and sustainability

Airzone has been focusing its efforts on innovation in the manufacture and development of intelligent climate control systems for 25 years. With the creation of the Quality Air Zone label, the company continues to work on the comfort of homes and spaces, promoting top-quality systems that prioritise efficiency and energy savings, two of Airzone's fundamental pillars.

AirQ Sensor is Airzone's sensor that measures and monitors air quality in homes, offices and shops. The device constantly measures the variables that have a negative influence on indoor air and classifies its quality into one of three levels (low, medium and good). Based on this value, when necessary, AirQ Sensor activates the AirQ Box solution to purify the air and promote people's well-being.

AirQ Box is Airzone's air purification solution for air-conditioning installations with rigid ducts, which acts when the AirQ Sensor indicates poor air quality. It is easy to apply to new and old installations and uses ionisation, the most effective technology for removing harmful particles from indoor air. In addition to its benefits for the well-being of people by removing bacteria, viruses and dust mites, AirQ Box boasts other advantages such as low energy consumption and low waste generation.
