CONSTRUTEC is set to become the construction industry's primary trade platform.

CONSTRUTEC 2024 will become a powerful commercial platform and the main event for the construction sector, where unique and innovative content will be showcased that will respond to all the needs of an industry that is once again boosting its leading role in the Spanish economy. The trade balance for manufacturers of construction products and materials in our country in 2023 was 8,447 million euros, representing an 18.5% increase compared to 2022, according to CEPCO.

CONSTRUTEC will play a pivotal role as a powerful lever and commercial and business tool for all professionals and companies related to the sector within the framework of  Semana Internacional de la Construcción, which will be held from 5 to 8 November 2024 at IFEMA MADRID. The fair will serve to promote awareness and visibility of the latest products and services developed by this industry, as well as the national and international marketing and distribution of materials, techniques and construction solutions.

The fair will be attended by the major players in the industry, including the main developers, construction companies, workshops, installers, distribution firms, specifiers, architectural studios, engineering firms, quantity surveyors, etc.

CONSTRUTEC will also host BIMEXPO, a dedicated space for the entire industry of BIM services and consultancies, software and applications, architecture, engineering and design studios, among others.

Furthermore, in addition to its global exhibition offer, CONSTRUTEC will serve as a hub for knowledge and innovation within the entire sector. It will host a series of conferences and congresses focused on innovation, training for the profession, and the needs and solutions for distribution.

Increase in Trade Balance

CONSTRUTEC will contribute to further boosting the dynamism of a sector that aims to reinforce its leading role in the Spanish and international economy. The Spanish Construction Products and Materials Manufacturers sector recorded a trade balance of 8,447 million euros in 2023, representing an 18.5% increase compared to 2022 and a 31.1% increase compared to 2021, according to the Spanish Confederation of Construction Products Manufacturers' Associations (CEPCO).

Spain is the third EU country, after Germany and Italy, in terms of its contribution to the country's trade balance. It is the second EU state, after Poland, that has had the greatest growth in relative terms since 2008.

The Spanish construction products and materials manufacturing sector exported materials worth 29.217 billion euros in 2023, contributing 7.6% to the total exports of the Spanish economy.
