Semana Internacional de la Construcción presents the first Building the Future Conference
This cross-sectional event, which includes the CONSTRUTEC, VETECO, SMART DOORS and PISCIMAD trade fairs, will be held from 5 to 8 November and will be accompanied by this conference, which aims to offer valuable information for all the companies and professionals attending the event.
The conference, organised by Alimarket, is based around three main themes: Innovation, Sustainability and Industrialisation, and focusses on developers, builders and distributors in the sector in order to address the challenges of the future.
Semana Internacional de la Construcción, to be held at IFEMA MADRID from 5 to 8 November 2024, will be the setting for the first Building the Future Congress, which is organised together with Alimarket and aims to position itself as a key forum for meeting and debate on the main challenges that are transforming the construction sector.
Under the slogan "Building the Future: Innovation, Sustainability and Industrialisation", this congress aims to bring together key companies, as well as speakers of interest to the entire sector, in a space where crucial issues for the future development of the sector will be discussed. According to Sergio Resille, general director of Alimarket, "We are very proud to continue collaborating with Ifema in the creation of common spaces and forums for debate and the exchange of ideas and knowledge that will allow a sector as important as the construction industry to move forward".
The Conference will be divided into three days. The first day, 5 November, will be dedicated to innovation. It will delve into the development of new solutions and how to anticipate the needs of an increasingly demanding market with the participation of companies such as Bilba Constructora with its general manager, Juan Francisco Rodríguez Ruiz; Bigmat and its CEO Jesús María Prieto; Culmia with the presence of its CEO, Francisco Pérez Medina and Alejandro López Navarrete, Director of Infrastructures and Capital Projects at Deloitte, among others.
The second day, which will take place on Wednesday, 6 November, will focus on sustainability. It will examine how companies can implement sustainable practices to improve economic efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Lobe will be represented by its CEO, Juan Carlos Bandrés, as well as Chris Bargate, CEO of Brico Depot, and Carolina Roca, managing partner of Grupo Inmobiliario Roca and president of the Association of Real Estate Developers of Madrid (Asprima), along with other speakers yet to be confirmed.
Finally, the third day, to be held on Thursday 7 November, will be dedicated to industrialisation, discussing ways to increase competitiveness and improve efficiency in this sector. The participation of Michel Elizalde, CEO of ACR and José María Quirós, Delegate of Industrialised Construction at Aedas, Juan Antonio Gómez-Pintado, president of Vía Ágora and of the Association of Spanish Construction Developers (APCE) and José Ignacio Esteban, General Manager of Avintia Industrial, has already been confirmed.
