Bisutex give a boost to the lifestyle sector with over 31,000 trade visitors
• Those events shows underlines the importance of in-person events in promoting the decor, gifts, fashion, footwear, accessories, fine and fashion jewellery and watchmaking sectors.
IFEMA MADRID closes its doors on the biggest combined show in the lifestyle sector, with more than a thousand companies participating in the Bisutex, Intergift, Madridjoya and MOMAD trade fairs, and highly positive ratings. The data confirms the participation figures and rate of business activity by these sectors. Between 3 and 6 February 2022, more than 31,000 trade professionals attended the exhibition centre.
The event has served to reaffirm trade professionals’ confidence in their adherence to participating in their respective trade shows, endorsing their decision to attend in person at a difficult time in which to press on with reactivating business.
This positivity was reflected by the director of all four fairs, Julia González, who affirmed, ‘Now that we’ve held the shows, we feel very positive. We started the year with a lot of uncertainty about holding the trade fairs, even wondering if we should consider not holding them at all. But the support and confidence of the exhibitors and the excellent precedent set by FITUR just a few days earlier persuaded us to forge ahead and keep to the scheduled dates. Proof of this are the excellent results achieved by the participants. And this encourages us to keep working with and for these sectors in the trade shows to come.’
One of the key aspects that stood out as the city of Madrid became the focus of attention for the decor, gifts, fashion, footwear, accessories, fine and fashion jewellery and watchmaking sectors was the internationalisation of these trade fairs. In line with IFEMA MADRID’s strategy, Intergift, Bisitex, Madridjoya and MOMAD welcomed professionals and exhibitors from more than 77 countries, from both Europe and the rest of the world, highlighting the international importance of these fairs.
Another key aspect was the design of the two spaces where talks and conferences could be held simultaneously. Both the Image Forum, located between Madridjoya and MOMAD, and Speaker’s Corner, located in Hall 7 of Intergift, succeeded in bringing added value to the event. The comprehensive programme of presentations covered a wide range of topics, including brand strengthening, new materials in fashion and decor, the circular economy and sustainability in these sectors, social media presence and effective communication, as well as business management in the world of interior design and the development and manufacture of jewellery through history, in all of which fashion and jewellery go hand-in-hand.
The perfect time for fashion jewellery and accessories at Bisutex
Over the space of four days in Hall 4, the International Fashion Jewellery and Accessories Trade Fair brought together more than 200 companies presenting their latest products for the coming Spring-Summer campaign. Again, the Archi and Minis spaces offered the opportunity to shine a light on some of the new creators, designers and emerging companies participating in these benchmark events.
There was a significant number of international visitors, from some 30 countries, which accounted for 45% more foreign buyers than the previous show.
