

ANTIK ALMONEDA presents an extensive offer of previously unseen collectors’ pieces

The Fair will be a cornucopia of thousands of objects, featuring a diverse range from archaeological finds to artworks by Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies.
ANTIK ALMONEDA, feria de antigüedades, galerías de arte y coleccionismo, (Antiques, Art Galleries and Collectors trade fair) will be held from 22 to 30 March in Hall 6 of IFEMA MADRID. The fair will feature almost 80 participating coin and antique dealers and gallerists with treasures to delight all tastes and pockets.
Art and decoration to transform spaces
A new feature at the 42nd ANTIK ALMONEDA will be the archaeological objects brought by J. Bagot Ancient Art. In contrast, Blixen Antiques will bring along a fascinating 19th-century Swedish Mora clock with its original patina and mercury dial. Miguel Cebrián Antigüedades will exhibit vintage decorative iron beer barrels to elevate any space, and among the treasures shown by Viridian, there will be a Danish sideboard from the 1960s made of walnut, featuring exquisite elegance and a two-body structure.
Galería Sergi Sánchez will offer collectors the opportunity to purchase an engraving by Joan Miró titled ‘Trace sur la Paroi TV’ from 1976, which is part of a series of 75 copies, or the intriguing carborundum by Antoni Tàpies entitled ‘Ropa interior’. Galería Lorenart, which specialises in Basque artists and the Madrid School, will bring a broad selection of the works of Jorge Oteiza to the fair. Casa Zóbel, in the meantime, will be back at the 42nd edition with 20th-century art and new 21st-century talent, highlighting creations by the likes of Eduardo Chillida and Diego Forriol.
Additionally, renowned exhibitors such as the specialist collector Valentí Agut will be there with surprising pieces, Galería Marita Segovia, showcasing art and decorative pieces of furniture like the pair of Charles III consoles in carved, polychrome, and gilded wood from the 18th century, and a long, 17th-century walnut table, Galería Jordi Pascual, which deals in internationally renowned Spanish painters; and Galería Hispánica with a carefully curated selection of paintings, sculptures, and graphic works from stand-out artists like Patrick Hughes, Rafael Barrios, and Mr Brainwash.
Singular fine and costume jewellery
Meanwhile, IT Torres, Joyas Antiguas Sardinero, Agurcho Iruretagoyena and From Bilbao exhibit at ANTIK ALMONEDA, bringing fine and costume jewellery to captivate visitors with their history and elegance with their endless designs and materials.
From 22 to 30 March, from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm, Hall 6 of IFEMA MADRID will become a paradise for history lovers and connoisseurs of fine taste, offering a unique opportunity to acquire treasures that transcend time for all tastes and budgets. What's more, on Thursday, 20 March, professional decorators, interior designers, architects and gallerists are invited in to be the first to see the offering, and Tuesday, 25 March, will be an open day with free entrance.
