Javier Bagües Oliver

Javier Bagües Oliver heads the Economic-Financial Department of IFEMA MADRID, integrating the Financial Administration and Management Control areas aimed at optimising resources and budgetary control for the management of the different areas of activity of the institution and the promotion of new projects.

Javier has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad Autónoma and an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, a solid track record of more than 25 years of professional experience in the financial and management control field, he comes from Navantia where he held the position of Financial Director for more than four years, with responsibility in all national and international divisions where the shipping company is present. Previously, he held similar positions at Thomson Reuters, where he was the director for Spain and Latam.

He has led processes of cultural transformation, digitalisation of processes, implementation of SAP, Power BI, as well as different management control tools.
